HYDROGEN FUELL CELL TECHNOLOGY (NFCEP)
Solar Hydrogen Renewable Energy/Fuel Cells
National Fuel Cell Education Program
Brian Caldwell is working with scientists to field test hydrogen fuel cell technology at sea. Along with solar and wind power, fuel cells promise to replace environmentally unfriendly fossil fuels in the not distant future.
A fuel cell is an electrochemical energy conversion device. It is two to three times more efficient at converting fuel to power than conventional combustion technologies (internal combustion engine) of the same size. A fuel cell produces electricity, water and heat using fuel and oxygen in the air through a single electrochemical process. Water is the only emission when hydrogen is the fuel.
Brian Caldwell is already field testing this technology with the first prototype hydrogen fuel power system for the mini 650. While demonstrating and testing the awesome potential of this technology, Brian will participate in the 'National Fuel Cell Education Program' during the world record.
